Dear Elizabeth and Nages (Sieslack, ISC),

I am back to work full of energy!

I must catch up with few important things this week, but first wanted to let you know that I met with my team members today and shared highlights from the conference. They have encouraged me to conduct a workshop to address how we might incorporate some of the tools, methods and applications I learned about while I was at ISC in Frankfurt.

It may also interest you to know that while I was at ISC, I was invited to participate in an interview with Science Node where I discussed the importance of HPC and use-cases for Nepal.

As you may recall, upon Elizabeth’s suggestion I completed the supercomputing MOOC from FutureLearn (PRACE-sponsored training) https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/supercomputing. At ISC I met some of the MOOC presenters in the PRACE booth, and commended them for having developed these important and widely-accessible programs.

Overall, my presence at the ISC conference has been fruitful in many ways. I would like to thank Stem-Trek, Cray Computing and the ISC Conference for providing me with this invaluable opportunity to learn and to meet an international community of professionals. I look forward to participating in future activities that are sponsored by your organizations.
